What is OriginTrail token?

OriginTrail boasts its very own cryptocurrency called TRAC. TRAC plays a pivotal role within the OriginTrail blockchain ecosystem, fueling all DKG operations and incentivizing protocol activities.
The good news is that TRAC is incredibly accessible. You can securely store your tokens in any EVM-compatible wallet, such as Metamask, or opt for hardware wallets to add an extra layer of security.

As part of a reward system for locking up both DOT and TRAC tokens, OTP is distributed to users during a process referred to as a genesis event. OTP serves various essential functions, including staking, governance participation, and covering fees associated with activities on the parachain.
