We were thrilled to sponsor the Consensus 2023 conference which took place in Austin, Texas last week 26-28th April, 2023.

The event gathered together all the differing, freewheeling, boundary-pushing leaders in the crypto community. With the industry’s best minds in one place, they confronted and discussed some of the major challenges facing blockchain-based projects, and debated potential solutions to the market’s biggest problems.

Prestigious, popular and thought-provoking

Consensus is one of the most important and prestigious conferences in crypto. Established back in 2015, the annual event has built a reputation for groundbreaking insights and trend-setting topics of discussion.

This year the Cryptology team was honored to become one of the headline sponsors of Consensus2023 and had its own booth in a prime location where our representatives welcomed visitors from all over the world. During the three day event, we met some of the biggest names in crypto and DeFi. And were able to connect with both new and old partners, including Hacken, CoinGecko, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Unlimint.

Consensus 2023’s top discussions

Our CMO, Dagmara Handzlik, was front and center of the conference. She shared her insights at the Grit Daily panel discussion, debating ‘How tokenization is moving beyond art collectibles to real-life applications’. Moderated by CoinTelegraph’s Turner Wright, it was a lively conversation about Real World Assets (RWA). This is fast becoming one of the major emerging narratives in crypto this year.

The conference was bursting with topical talks. Some of our best Consensus 2023 highlights were:

  • The price of creating a blockchain – the Founder and CEO of Art Blocks, Erick Calderon, shared his thoughts on how value, copyrights, and royalties have been transformed thanks to blockchain technology.
  • Remember why we’re here: crypto’s true purpose – Caitlin Long, Erik Voorhees and others discussed how the industry lost its way, and whether and how it can still deliver on its original promises of greater transparency and resilience.
  • Aping into web3 gaming with Yuga Labs – CoinDesk’s own Rosie Perper moderated the conversation with Yuga Labs’ CEO, Daniel Alegre, who shared how he plans to take Bored Apes NFTs to the next level.

There were plenty of Consensus 2023 highlights and it was definitely the place where passion combined with vision. The event brought together market leaders who truly want to learn and build towards an improved crypto community. The only question is, will we see you at next year’s conference?
